Douglas Goforth, DPM joins Balanced Rock Foot and Ankle, Family Health West

Douglas Goforth, DPM is joining forces with Troy Griffiths, DPM at Balanced Rock Foot and Ankle, a podiatry clinic provided by Family Health West.

Dr. Goforth is a Board certified podiatrist whose duties will include not only caring for patients in the clinic, but also performing foot & ankle surgery. Together with Dr. Griffiths, they will be able to expand their reach to residents in the Lower Valley and accept new patients.

“I look forward to becoming more integrated in the local community and getting to know my patients on a more personal level,” said Dr. Goforth.

Douglas Goforth, DPM recently joined Balanced Rock Foot and Ankle. He is a Board certified podiatrist whose duties will include not only caring for patients in the clinic, but also performing foot & ankle surgery. Together with Dr. Griffiths, they will be able to expand their reach to residents in the Lower Valley and accept new patients.

Dr. Goforth received his degree at Midwestern University School of Podiatric Medicine in Glendale, Arizona and completed his residency at the Denver Veterans Hospital. He’s been practicing podiatry in the Grand Valley for four years and brings his expertise to Balanced Rock Foot and Ankle.

“We’re always looking for ways in which we can expand our medical offerings to the community,” said Family Health West President and CEO, Mark J. Francis. “Combining the expertise of Dr. Griffiths and Dr. Goforth allows us to accept more patients who require specialized care for foot and ankle problems.”

Balanced Rock Foot and Ankle specializes in the comprehensive treatment of all foot and ankle injuries and disorders. Dr. Griffiths and Dr. Goforth are available for general podiatry care, diabetic foot and ulcer care, orthotics, sports medicine, children’s orthopedic and gait analysis, and treatment of chronic stasis ulcers of the lower extremities. Their practice incorporates the latest developments in podiatric medicine to ensure that patients receive the most advanced treatment available.

Dr. Goforth enjoys spending his free time outdoors, whether it’s backcountry skiing, mountain biking, climbing, camping with his family, or taking in anything else Western Colorado has to offer. “It is no accident that we chose to live and raise our 2 young boys here in the Grand Valley,” explains Dr. Goforth. “We enjoy spending a great deal of time in the outdoors, and it is awesome to call a place home that has such incredible year-round access to all the things we know and love.”
