RedRock Integrative Rehabilitation Medicine in Fruita has recently joined Family Health West’s healthcare service lines. Although the name is new, the physiatrist, Ellen Price, DO, is well-known throughout the Grand Valley.
Dr. Price is pleased to collaborate with Family Health West. “A physician’s practice of operating solo seems to be a thing of the past. I’m fortunate to collaborate with a bigger institution where I can still provide the best care possible to my patients. Having physical, occupational, and speech therapists next door and working with them as a team is exceptional. Having the expertise of other specialists nearby to evaluate complex pain management issues is also very valuable.”
Mark J. Francis, Family Health West President and CEO, is pleased as well. “Dr. Price has an outstanding reputation for providing traditional and integrative medicine. As a physiatrist, Dr. Price is a primary care provider for many impaired or disabled patients who have chronic pain management issues. Family Health West will now provide management of the business side of her practice so Dr. Price can continue to help her patients get to their highest level of function. ”
Dr. Price graduated from Southeastern University of Osteopathic Medicine in Miami, Florida. She completed her Residency Program at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Price is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and pain medicine with additional training in acupuncture, occupational medicine, electro-diagnostics, and sports medicine. In addition, Dr. Price is currently studying alternative/herbal medicine.
Away from her busy life at work, Dr. Price enjoys mountain biking and cross-country skiing with her husband and son. When weather permits, she loves riding her bike to work down the new Riverfront Trail that connects Grand Junction to Fruita. As a coach for the area’s first Lego League, she is reaping the benefits as middle-schoolers explore an engineering career. Their team took 1st place in robot design and is looking forward to the state competition.
