Hospital Billing Support Process
- If you do not have insurance, or your insurance does not provide you with 100% coverage for healthcare services, you will receive a statement of account from our facilities for any unpaid balances. For your convenience, and in order to provide you with accurate billing information, we will not send an itemized statement of services until your insurance company has finalized your bill.The time period for receiving the statement can vary from a few weeks to six months.
- You will also receive a statement when your physician uses our laboratory for your testing sent for us to analyze.
- In addition to your hospital statement, you may receive another bill from each physician for professional fees associated with services such as radiology, emergency physician services, surgery, or anesthesiology. Physicians in these specialties bill separately.
You can pay your bill online. Please have your statement on hand with your access code located on the top of your statement. You may also call (970) 858-2508 to make a credit card payment by phone.

Balance or Surprise Billing Support
If you are seen by a provider or use services in a facility or agency that is not in your health insurance plan’s provider network, sometimes referred to as “out-of-network,” you may receive a bill for additional costs associated with that care. COVID-19 Precautions
With the new public changes due to the recent illness, in an effort to keep our patients and staff safe, Family Health West is implementing a temporary way for our patients to make account payments. We now have a lock-box located at the front doors to our Support Services building located at 228 N Cherry Street in Fruita where patients can drop off payments between the hours of 9AM and 4PM.
