When life feels heavy, moments of true connection and joy matter even more. Sometimes, a night of music and community can provide a much needed pause from life’s everyday stresses. On September 12, the FHW Foundation will host Yachty or Nice Round 2, the exciting sequel to last year’s Red Baron Bash. Featuring the yacht rock band Yachty by Nature at CMU’s Asteria Theatre, the evening will bring together music, community and support for a meaningful cause.
The 2026 Red Baron Bash supports the FHW Foundation’s new Resilience Fund, which helps provide mental health care to Mesa County Residents who might not otherwise be able to afford treatment. The Resilience Fund is taking the FHW Foundation in a new direction, with the goals of better meeting the needs of our community.
“Mental health challenges often reach far beyond one individual, affecting many people in their orbit,” FHW Foundation Director, Eric Mello said. “By directing resources to this area, the Foundation believes it can make the greatest possible difference where the need is most urgent.”
The Resilience Fund is a partnership with the FHW Foundation and the FHW Behavioral Health Clinic. Every $1,000 raised can support one person who is struggling to access the care they need. Eligible patients of all ages can receive mental health support in the form of counseling, group therapy or even psychiatric care.
“Many Mesa County residents face significant hardships, particularly in accessing mental health services,” Mello said. “Data from the Mesa County Health Needs Assessment highlighted gaps in mental health care and barriers to testing and treatment, often driven by financial constraints. In response, the Family Health West Foundation partnered with the organization’s Behavioral Health Clinic to create the
Resilience Fund, aimed at removing those barriers.”
Access to mental health care is a serious concern for many Mesa County residents and the FHW is committed to helping as many people as possible receive the care they need to thrive no matter the circumstances. The 2026 Bash is more than just a party, it’s an opportunity to create a meaningful impact on those around us.
