In 2026, Family Health West was named a Top 10 Rural Healthcare Facility by the Colorado Rural Health Center. This award reflects not only FHW’s continued growth but also our commitment to providing compassionate, independent care close to home.
The Colorado Rural Health Center’s Top 10 Rural Healthcare Facilities Awards are based on data from the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX. The INDEX is used nationwide by rural health systems to measure and monitor performance across key operational and financial areas.
According to the Colorado Rural Health Center, “the 2026 Top 10 Rural Healthcare Facilities Awards recognized hospitals and clinics that have gone above and beyond in delivering exceptional care and advancing quality through measurable improvement.”
The Colorado Rural Health Center divides its top 10 rural healthcare facilities into two categories: Top 5 Rural Hospitals and Top 5 Rural Clinics. In this recognition, Family Health West was named a Top 5 Rural Hospital in Colorado.
The award is the result of several key innovations that FHW prioritized during the previous year. With the addition of the FHW General Surgery department and the expansion of the FHW Behavioral Health Clinic, we are excited to meet more of our community’s needs.
None of this would be possible without the amazing FHW staff who show up every day to make a patient’s day just a little bit better. With each new addition to our team, our family grows a little bit bigger and becomes a little more adept to caring for our community.
