Join Arielle Tucker, RN, for a practical and timely session on navigating the upcoming cold and flu season. Arielle will tackle common myths and truths around prevention - such as the effectiveness of hand sanitizer vs. soap, optimal timing for flu vaccines, current COVID updates and testing guidance, and practical tips for staying healthy as the weather cools down.

9:45 – 10:30 a.m. Ray Rickard, Local Falconer

The Art of Falconry

Step into the fascinating world of falconry with local falconer Ray Rickard. Learn about the rich history of this ancient sport, the majestic birds involved, and the legal and environmental aspects of their care. Ray will share insights on how he trains, exercises, and hunts with his birds. Guests will have the opportunity to possibly meet the birds up close, view their handcrafted equipment, and enjoy Ray’s firsthand stories.

Fruita Community Center. The class is held in the Peach Room, located directly behind the staff/front desk.
