Where to turn for help with Autism?

Hope is here for children with Autism or behavioral challenges. We offer the most advanced center for diagnosis and therapy of Autism and behavioral difficulties in western Colorado. Our comprehensive programming is designed to serve kids with autism or struggle significantly to speak, to make their needs known, who have challenging behaviors or difficulty with basic life skills.

Our Autism therapy center offers individual and family support in a carefully designed environment to help your child thrive and your family adapt successfully. The therapy center includes a sensorimotor station, gathering place, and gross motor area. Our therapists specialize in Autism spectrum disorders. We are child and whole-family centered, and we welcome you into our community.

Take heart. You will find your place here. Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are more common than you may realize, and continual advancements in therapy and treatment will help your child reach their full potential. Solutions begin with a proper diagnosis followed by a plan individualized to your child’s unique needs and personality.

Get help with Autism early

Autism spectrum disorder is a developmental disability that generally appears before the age of 3. Autism and behavioral challenges are most successfully addressed when appropriate care is delivered during your child's educational years. With early diagnoses and behavior-based intervention, children have their best chance of adapting, and long-term care resources can often be reduced.

We care deeply that your family and child get the support you need. Our skilled practitioners treat a broad range of behavioral issues and Autism spectrum challenges, including:

  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Social communication disorders
  • Executive dysfunction
  • Impaired mobility
  • Delayed fine motor skills
  • Visual-motor coordination
  • Behavioral delays
  • Anxiety
  • Social and behavioral deficit challenges
  • Learning and development issues

Skilled support for the journey ahead

You’re in good hands. We offer the gold-standard Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) assessments. Working with your pediatrician or therapist, we can help define communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviors in children. During an ADOS-2 assessment, our specialists interact directly with your child in social and play activities.

For vision, motor, and balance training, we offer Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS), an affordable and versatile solution for gross motor functions to fine motor skills. We can even help you with a variety of strategies to help your non-verbal child share ideas and feelings.

Children with behavioral and developmental issues can continuously improve. A specialized plan and opportunities for your family to learn and grow with your child are the key to successful management. Our team approach is designed to help you help them with services that include:

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2)
  • Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS)
  • Augmented and Alternative Communications (AAC)
  • Autism spectrum evaluations
  • Functional acclimation to new environments
